It Was a Great Convention

October 14, 2010

The MORE Program was well represented during the Michigan Municipal League’s 2010 Annual Convention at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn September 21-24. Brian Balasia, CEO of Digerati and president of The MORE Program, was a featured speaker during the first morning’s general session. He outlined the goals of The MORE Program and presented supportive video testimonials from Dan Gilmartin, Executive Director & CEO of the Michigan Municipal League and Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke. Moreover, he also clarified the vision of The MORE Program for the hundreds of delegates in attendance and challenged them with a call to action to participate.

But what made The MORE Program’s team even more excited was the tremendous response InsYght received from the participating delegates. Thanks to Brian’s speech and the support of Dan Gilmartin and others, we were able to capture video testimonials about the importance of entrepreneurship from more than 90 participating delegates. In some cases, the delegates represented organizations and municipalities that already had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to participate with The MORE Program; in other cases, we’ve stored the video for future use once the MOU is signed. We’ve already begun work developing custom-branded sites for those who’ve signed the MOU and are pressing forward to complete arrangements with others.

We were heartened to see the tremendous positive response to our vision and the willingness of the delegates to provide access to their entrepreneur support resources. They’ll be among the visionary first wave of community leaders who will be able to announce the availability of the resources of The MORE Program to the entrepreneurs and business owners in their communities when the system goes live in early 2011.

those municipalities who didn’t yet receive a copy of the MOU, visit www.themoreprogram.com and download a pdf version of the MOU document. Joining with The MORE Program to offer this valuable service to the entrepreneurs in your communities is as simple as completing the form and sending it to us.
