The MORE Program appeared at the recent Michigan Local Government Management Association’s “Winter Institute” conference, held at the historic Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit, February 1-4.
Brian Balasia and Ken Agacinski both participated in the conference, leading a break-out session about entrepreneurship and opportunities in Detroit.
The conference’s theme was “Positive Leadership in a Negative Environment.” The Winter Institute provided opportunities for professional development, idea sharing, mentoring and networking.
According to Al Vandenberg, president of the MLGMA, the Winter Institute offered “a chance to gain invaluable knowledge from informal conversations with colleagues and informative and compelling presentations.”
